Houndhaven is a NO-KILL, ALL-VOLUNTEER shelter that has been rescuing dogs and puppies from euthanasia at kill shelters and other life threatening situations since 2000.  No dog or puppy is denied entry because of a medical need, and we work with whatever veterinarians are necessary to restore them to health.  Our 50+ volunteers care for them lovingly and well until they can be placed in loving and responsible homes.  We do vet checks and home visits to be sure the homes we choose are as exceptional as our dogs.  We believe that these lives are precious, and we are strictly a no kill group.  Our mission is life.
