Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance exists to ensure that help always gets there in time. Our ambition is that no-one in Scotland should die because emergency care cannot reach them quickly enough. From our bases in Perth and Aberdeen, we operate air ambulances and rapid response vehicles staffed by experienced pilots and highly trained paramedics. As part of Scotland’s Emergency Response Network, we provide emergency medical support across all 30,000 square miles of the country, including remote and rural communities where timely access to care can be most challenging. Our crews respond to time-critical medical and trauma incidents, delivering advanced pre-hospital care at the scene before transporting patients to the most appropriate hospital for specialist treatment. By bringing fast, expert care directly to people in urgent need, we give patients the best possible chance of survival and recovery, while providing a vital lifeline to communities across Scotland.
