We are an essential business providing support for Pasifika families reside in Rotorua. Our main business is licence an Early Childhood Education aiming for Pasifika families that couldn't afford to pay for childcare fees. We paying teachers from government fund plus providing morning tea and afternoon tea for children. Due to limited fund we couldn't provide healthy lunch for the children, however we experience family's with low income couldn't afford to provide healthy lunch for their children. Actually, we have limited resources in place that would take us through. Waving fees is a big move, our data shows that most Pasifika families doesn't enroll their young children with Early Childhood centre due to fees etc. We work towards our vision which is "Moving Pasifika Families forwar". We also contracted by Lake DHB to provide Health Support for Pasifika clients accordingly. We received high volume of referrals from hospital, GP and other medical centre regard Pasifika clients that need to follow up with their appointment, prescriptions, follow up and many more. We also deliver Whanau Ora support for Pasifika families who are in need. Four domain that families assess under, including Finance, Education, Health and Cultural. We helped find job for unemployed members, creating financial capability workshop for families, enrolled young children with ECE centre and engaged families who are not connected with their own community. I guess having a Pasifika Hub in Rotorua to help our own Pasifika families is amazing. Whanau Ora is a family approach to strengthening the wellbeing and future of Pacific families. Overall, we have limited resources in place however the passion to help our Pasifika families success is our goal. We only relying on fund and grant to deliver the service. Bringing volunteer workers on board to help is amazing, working together will create better life not only for Pasifika communities but for wider community as well.
