Ministry of Inspiration’s overarching mission is to provide exciting STEAMS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Maths, and Society) experiences for students that are not otherwise accessible. Through our programmes, we aim for every child to be inspired and energised by the possibilities of what they can create, learn, and develop. Our approach with STEAMS is to stimulate curiosity about how and why things work and through hands-on learning empower students to innovate, develop ideas and create future opportunities. Students create and discover in collaborative and inclusive environments, thereby exposing them to unique experiences brought about through diversity of thought and working in teams. Cultural knowledge is embraced and integrated throughout MOI’s programmes to further enrich the STEAMS learning experience. To our knowledge, we are the only NZ educational charity to structure initiatives to ensure all programmes have student leadership components; whether it be helping to run events, planning events, or leading workshops. We rely on the generosity of public donations, a few grants, and our programme fees to continue to inspire New Zealand’s youth with the joy of learning.
