Rosies – Friends on the Street is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organisation that supports people experiencing homelessness, hardship, or social isolation. Founded as a youth mission in the 1970s, Rosies operates outreach programs across Queensland, where volunteers meet people on the streets to offer a warm drink, conversation, and a sense of belonging.

At its heart, Rosies is about friendship and human connection. Rather than providing formal services like housing or casework, the organisation focuses on being present with people—listening, building relationships, and offering unconditional acceptance to those who may feel overlooked or disconnected from their community.
