Road2home
Road2Home is a non-profit in Bellingham Washington and was founded in 2019 to help reduce the suffering of individuals in our community by supporting our neighbors experiencing homelessness while they work towards their journey to permanent housing. Road2Home has four primary programs currently in operation. We have our community volunteer training in which we train volunteers in communication, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation while working with vulnerable individuals. We run a community Ally Program in which we partner volunteer allies with unsheltered neighbors to help them work towards housing goals and social support. We are in the process of building and developing a tiny home village for individuals over the age of 55 and who are medically fragile called, Gardenview Village. And finally, we have recently taken over a local COVID isolation and quarantine facility in collaboration with the department of health. We are motivated to help our community heal and partner with agencies to further leverage the resources in our community.
