Our mission is to find the right new home for stray, abandoned, neglected, abused and owner relinquished animals.  We strive to prevent cruelty and relieve suffering among animals.  HSR rehabilitates and convalesce injured and abused animals.  We  provide humane education in regards to dogs and cats in our area schools.  We offer Pet Therapy in area nursing homes and rehab centers to help stimulate the residents and promote social skills for both animals and clients.  We work to alleviate unwanted litters by making sure all of our animals are spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, or are scheduled once they reach the proper age.
