About us
We are a dedicated not-for-profit charity operating 17 branches throughout the UK, and a sister organization in the ROI. We are driven by volunteers who are parents/carers, and individuals with upper limb differences (ULD). Our volunteers invest their time to organize a variety of local events, both big and small. Our volunteers serve as the crucial link, ensuring families in their communities stay connected online and in person. We aim to assist families and adults with ULD’s in connecting, learning, and supporting one another from birth into adulthood. Our mission is to:
-Foster the leadership and mentoring capabilities of young adults with upper limb differences, empowering them to become inspirational role models.
-Increase levels of independence self-esteem and capability in children, enabling them to carry these qualities into every area of their lives.
-Help parents and carers understand the importance of allowing their children the freedom to explore their independence.
-Promote understanding of the abilities of children with upper limb differences among the general public to dismantle perceived barriers for disabled individuals.
-Increase awareness of Reach among healthcare providers to encourage more referrals from parents of children with upper limb differences, whether they are expecting or have already given birth.
