About us
The IDD Council of Tarrant County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive community where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) can thrive. Through a collaborative network of public and private agencies, families, and self-advocates, the Council works to improve systems of support, raise awareness, and promote inclusion. They host free educational events, caregiver networking sessions, job fairs, and community celebrations like April Cools’ Day and Sensory Santa, all designed to empower individuals with IDD and their families. Supporting the IDD Council means investing in a more compassionate, informed, and accessible Tarrant County—where everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to live a full and meaningful life.
