Pei and Pals Animal Rescue (PPAR) — formerly Shar Pei Rescue QLD and Precious Paws Animal Rescue — is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need.

We focus on pound and at-risk dogs, including those from remote communities, as well as dogs with treatable medical conditions such as heartworm, injuries, or illness. We also support members of the community who need help rehoming their dogs due to circumstances beyond their control, including homelessness, cost-of-living pressures, domestic violence, and relationship breakdowns.

With the support of our community, we give these dogs a second chance at life and the opportunity to find safe, loving homes. Our work relies entirely on foster carers, volunteers, and donations to meet the growing costs of veterinary care, training, food, medication, and transport. While we are fortunate to have a dedicated team, we are always in need of additional carers and support.

Our dogs aren’t broken — they’ve simply experienced more than most. PPAR is their pathway to a better future.
