Ottawa Dog Rescue (ODR) is a foster-based organization located in Ottawa, Ontario, dedicated to saving abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs.

We all enter rescue with the best of intentions, and we strive to:

• Rescue dogs from situations that are abusive, dangerous, or neglectful.

• Save dogs at risk of being euthanized in area shelters or pounds.

• Place rescued dogs into well-matched, carefully screened, permanent adoptive homes.

• Provide all necessary veterinary care for every dog taken into our care.

• Offer ongoing support for dogs in need through our adoption and fostering programs.

• Offer an Owner Surrender Program as an alternative for dog owners who are no longer able or willing to keep their dogs and are considering surrendering them to a shelter or animal control facility.

• Educate and promote the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals, positive behavior training, proper canine nutrition, and raising community awareness to help prevent animal cruelty.
