Oakwood Dog Rescue
About us
Operating since 2009, Oakwood Dog Rescue helps as many dogs as we can. We help dogs of any breed or age including those with special needs or behavioural issues. Our goal is to rehabilitate and re-home dogs with new responsible owners, where they can live out the rest of their years in a happy, loving home.
The charity is privately funded and receives no government or large scale support. The sheer generosity of the public is the only reason the rescue can continue its work. The centre costs around £11k per month to run. To raise this money, fundraising events are held as often as possible. Currently there are no surplus funds, and the centre is operating on a month by month basis. Your help and support is critical to our survival.
Due the mounting concern over the coronovirus all of our fundraising collections have been cancelled. We rely heavily on getting out and about week on week appealing to the general public for donations simply so we can pay our bills! With this in mind we are very concerned about what will happen this month and next.... These dogs rely on us to look after them and we rely on all of you to keep the roof over their heads. Please vote for us and donate if you can, even just £1 will help!
