The mission of the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society is to be a primary advocate for the animals of Jonesboro and its surrounding region (Craighead, Greene, Lawrence, and Poinsett counties), serving them as protector, caregiver, and finder of adoption homes.

Founded in 1971, Northeast Arkansas Humane Society is a 501c non-profit animal shelter devoted to placing surrendered or abandoned pets into loving homes to ensuring that every animal has food, shelter, and comfort as we transition them into new homes. Without our facility, many cats and dogs would go without the help they need. It is through donations, volunteers and the open hearts of NEA residents that we are able to accomplish our mission.
