New Start Standardbreds works to assist in the rehabilitation and rehoming of neglected, abused and slaughter bound retired harness racing horses. We also work with many owners and trainers to help place their horses directly out of their racing homes, to ensure that they never land in the wrong hands and suffer any abuse or neglect. Our program runs 100% on volunteers and donations. We have no paid members, and we receive no government or industry financial aid.
