Marion County Humane Society serves the residents of Marion County Iowa by providing a temporary home and care for stray animals. We are a no-kill shelter that finds home for over 500 dogs and cats each year.  The past 2 years, our adoptions have greatly decreased and our intake has greatly increased.  Not only does this affect the animals in our care, but it also causes us to incur more food and medical care for our animals.  In addition, our salary costs have increased due to the number of animals we have in our care.  Our shelter is in crisis and needs funding to stay open.  We are not sure what will happen to the animals in our area if we close our doors, but we really don't want to find out. We love our animals and our jobs.  Please help us provide the best for them!
