Motley Zoo Animal Rescue exists as a safety net to support thousands of animals that are in danger of being euthanized in shelters- as well as work with owners who can no longer keep their pets so they don't wind up in danger in a traditional shelter. Motley Zoo utilizes private., volunteer foster homes where each animals' needs can be addressed and managed individually around the clock- offering each animal a second chance at life and adoption. One third of the animals we take in are those who are special or medically needy; animals that literally have no alternative option. Through extensive veterinary care, socialization and training, animals at risk are given time and space to settle in, heal, learn, grow so we can see what they need- and therefore what kind of home will suit them best. Through our extensive matching process we are able to pair animals with loving homes that will never again leave those animals abandoned and in need of rescue. Since 2009, Motley Zoo has rescued more than 3,200 animals with a 99.9% live release rate and <5% rate of return- all of which are considered exceptional in the animal welfare community.
