About us
Medical Pantry is an Australian leader who provides innovative solutions to the problem of healthcare inequality and environmental sustainability.
Healthcare contributes to 5% of the total carbon footprint where more than 70% of this originates in the supply chain. On top of this, healthcare is the second largest contributor to landfill where 30% remains unopened and unused. In contrast, in low-resource settings, communities have little to no access. Those who can access, the costs are so high that it can quickly drain household resources, driving families into poverty.
Medical Pantry collects surplus supplies from the healthcare supply chain (manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and end-users like clinics, hospitals and pharmacies). In partnership with other Charities and not-for profit organisations, as well as government and community leaders, we donate these supplies to underserved communities across the globe via an efficient and sustainable network.
We are a 100% volunteer run Charity registered with ACNC. For every $1 donated, we are able to give $350 worth of medical supplies.
