Suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia. Due to stigma and discrimination most young people dealing with mental health issues do not reach out for support. 

  For every 30 young people in Australia, there will be 7 experiencing a significant mental health issue. Of those 7, only 2 will reach out for support, leaving 5 suffering in silence.

batyr focus on early intervention and preventative education programs. These programs place them front and centre with young people, in schools, universities and workplaces. Early intervention can have a life-changing impact on a young person’s mental health, and the communities they create mean young people get the help they need, sooner.

batyr's programs change lives, and that’s why we exist. We are making a positive impact on the mental wellbeing of young people, but our work isn’t done yet.
