Mahi Tahi Tātou Charitable Trust is a community-based Wairarapa charity established in 2021 to support people with disabilities to live meaningful, connected, and self-determined lives. We work alongside people with intellectual disabilities, physical impairments, neurodiversity, chronic health conditions, and mental health challenges, recognising that every person has unique strengths, talents, and aspirations.

Our services focus on increasing opportunities for education, employment, self-employment, social inclusion, and community participation. Through personalised support, mentoring, skills development, and enterprise opportunities, we help people build confidence, develop practical skills, and achieve greater independence.

We also operate community initiatives, including a day programme, an op shop, and environmental recycling projects, which provide meaningful work experience, social connection, and opportunities to contribute to the wider community. These initiatives create inclusive spaces where people can learn, earn, volunteer, and develop a sense of purpose.

At Mahi Tahi Tātou, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate fully in their community. By working in partnership with individuals, whānau, volunteers, local businesses, and community organisations, we are helping to create a more inclusive community where people with disabilities are valued for their abilities and supported to reach their full potential.
