And we work worldwide. Cancer is on the rise in our animal friends and people struggle to afford the staggering cost of care or even testing. About 65 million dogs and 32 million cats have cancer in the United States. Of these, roughly 12 million new cancer diagnoses are made in dogs and cats each year. According to The Veterinary Cancer Society, cancer is the leading cause of death in 47% of dogs, especially dogs over age ten, and 32% of cats. People view their pets as part of their family and it is devastating when they get this unexpected diagnosis. Not only are they emotionally overwhelmed, but the financial burden of providing necessary care can be prohibitive, often resulting in a pet suffering or being euthanized before its time. We are here to listen, to help, and to offer financial and emotional support. While we cannot eliminate cancer, we can provide people comfort through emotional support and financial assistance during a very difficult time.
