Our rescue focuses on helping as many dogs as possible, while providing them with the best care and finding them the best homes. We take in, rehabilitate, and adopt out mainly puppy mill releases, and special needs dogs. The rescue started out as a Shiba Inu only rescue, so we still have a focus on that breed, but take in others. Currently we are overrun with requests to take in cleft lip and cleft palette puppies. Some other common intakes are dogs/puppies affected by hydrocephalus, blindness, deafness, missing body parts, and neurological issues. We do not turn away dogs just because we know they will require major corrective surgery, treatments, or amputations. We are a very small rescue that runs solely on donations. We have amazing vets who help us as much as they can, but with all of our special needs dogs we do rack up quite the bill. Along with all of our bills for the care of our special needs dogs, all of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, made current on vaccines, and heartworm tested before being adopted. They are also given prevention and dewormed during the time they are with us.
