Lifestyles began operating in 1994 through the collaboration of parents, community organizations, local business people and a group of developmentally disabled adults (program participants). Each group recognized the need to develop programs that provide participants with realistic work settings and experiences within the Staten Island community and beyond. Present Having served the developmentally disabled population of Staten Island for over 25 years, Lifestyles continues to strive to offer more diverse and unique services. Lifestyles started as an agency which served four adults and families and now serves over 400.
