Wellspring opened in February of 1985 as a single storefront in Hull, after recognizing that many people needed assistance on Boston’s South Shore. Wellspring emerged as a safe place for neighbors needing to grab a cup of coffee and a warm coat as they sought help.

Our mission is to provide support and skills to people facing challenges to their well-being in order to help them achieve independence and self-sufficiency. As a private, 501(c)3, multi-service organization with two locations on Boston’s South Shore, Wellspring serves individuals and families throughout the region. Our programs and services include food assistance, adult education, legal advocacy, community outreach, referrals, and so much more!

Our neighbors facing challenges need our support now. The economy is uncertain; jobs are being eliminated; food and healthcare are expensive. Wellspring, provides a safe harbor from the storms that impact us. Help us expand access to a wider demographic and help more people. Because of the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers, and staff, we can confidently say better begins here.
