The mission of Ivy Woods Feline Sanctuary is to provide a safe, caring haven for more than 60 feral, stray, and displaced cats for life. We are a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) and located on a beautiful seven-acre property that features a large enclosed area with barns and shelters where cats roam freely and safely. We provide medical care, food, shelter, socialization and companionship to cats in need. All cats are neutered/spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV, and receive vaccinations. Veterinary care is provided to all cats as needed and two Cat Caretakers live on site. Our Sanctuary is a forever home for non-adoptable cats. Although we are able to provide for the basic needs of our cats, like feeding them, providing fresh water, keeping the shelters clean, paying the routine veterinary bills and providing general upkeep of the property, we need help raising money for any additional expenses, like added veterinary bills and expenses for cats with chronic health conditions, and diagnosing any new issues in our heathy cats. Also, the money raised will go towards our facility renovations such as re-insulating one of our Barns, finishing up building a new enclosure and placing pavers in the ground surrounding the barn. We also have to repair the deck and the outside stairs of the main farm house where cats with health issues are being cared for before and after vet visits, and where most cats keep warm and dry during cold winter months. We also need to repair a miniature house which serves as nice and cozy shelter for our outdoor feral cats.
