From the Heart Productions is a unique nonprofit dedicated to empowering independent filmmakers who are creating films with compelling stories that enlighten, inspire, and bring social change. For over 30 years, we’ve helped fund and support documentaries, narrative features, and shorts that the mainstream often overlooks—films that address human rights, the environment, mental health, and other vital issues.
We do more than just believe in the power of independent film—we actively nurture it. Through our fiscal sponsorship program, we offer filmmakers the legal and financial structure they need to accept grants and tax-deductible donations. We provide mentorship, education, and funding through the Roy W. Dean Grant and offer classes and guidance to help indie creators bring their vision to life.
