Home Again is the only dog and cat rescue servicing a vast rural area surrounding Bancroft, Ontario. The closest city is 1.5 hours away. Home Again is an all volunteer, foster based, federally registered animal rescue charity that rehomes surrendered, abandoned and homeless cats and dogs. Being a small rural rescue, Home Again doesn’t have access to the corporate sponsorships or government funding available to our urban and close to urban counterparts. Home Again has been relying entirely on good hearted individuals and small businesses, as well as adoption fees to meet the care costs of over 250 animals annually. All of our rescues are vet checked, neutered, and microchipped before adoption. Any health concerns are treated as well. With the dramatic increase in veterinary costs recently, Home Again is facing a huge challenge to ensure it can continue to financially meet the needs of the rescues.
