Hogscroft Hedgehog Rescue is situated in the Carse of Gowrie, and opened in January 2023 in response to a lack of hedgehog rescues in this part of Scotland. Currently on the red list our native hedgehog is vulnerable to extinction. We rescue and rehabilitate hedgehogs from across Perthshire and Tayside, our main aim is to boost the hedgehog population. We currently have space for 20 hedgehogs at any given time and in our first year over 100 hedgehogs came through our doors. In order to reach more hedgehogs we are desperately in need of funding to build on our limited facilities. Your support will allow us to continue our work and improve our facilities, we initially converted part of our garage with our own funds but have outgrown this space. As a self funded charity, staffed by volunteers,  we depend solely on donations from members of the public to allow us to continue to offer the vital treatment and care the hedgehogs who come into our rescue need and once well return them to the wild where they can go on to reproduce and boost the numbers of this vulnerable native mammal.
