Heartland Farm Sanctuary is Wisconsin's first farm animal sanctuary, and Dane County's only rescue resource for farm animals in need.

At Heartland, we provide specialized care to rescued farm animals, offer empathy-based humane education programs for learners of all ages, and provide experiential therapy for young people in partnership with our animals to create a mutually safe and supportive space for healing.

When you support Heartland, you provide exceptional, individualized animal care to ensure our rescued residents live a life rich with health, companionship and love. And that empathy expands outwardly. Because when we practice empathy, acceptance and compassion in the way we treat and care for our animals, we inevitably show children that they are worthy of the same. Our children’s programming is proof positive. 

Heartland does not receive any federal, state or county funding, so in order to continue our critical work, we need your support!
