About GHESKIO: GHESKIO's Holistic Approach to Care

·  By integrating primary care and social support programs, GHESKIO provides a comprehensive approach to health care focused on the family unit, including prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, STIs, TB, malnutrition, diarrheal diseases, cardiovascular disease and poverty reduction; all at no cost to the patient.

·  GHESKIO’s services include comprehensive treatment and care for adults, adolescents, infants, children, pregnant women, survivors of sexual violence, commercial sex workers, MSM, and street children. GHESKIO provides programs for reproductive health, educational and nutritional support, microcredit, job training, emergency home visits, and peer counseling with specialized services for HIV/AIDS adolescents and young adults.

·  GHESKIO’s outreach strategy includes an EMR that provides accurate information to healthcare workers about patients’ expected visits using cell phones, GPS, and mobile teams to track patient progress and identify patients who have missed scheduled medical appointments.
