As a UK based charity operating in Greece since 1959, Greek Animal Welfare Fund’s purpose is the prevention and relief of cruelty and suffering amongst animals in Greece. Our vision is for Greece to become a nation whose people care about the quality of animals’ lives, and we are proud that as the longest serving animal charity operating at a national level in Greece, many animals’ lives have been saved and improved significantly through our work. 

Our mission is to use the way we care for animals to educate and inspire, encouraging changes in attitudes at every level of Greek society, so our work continues long after we are gone.

Our work is comprised of dog and cat sterilisations, equine care, education, campaigning and local partnerships (funding a number of small animal welfare groups across Greece to highlight and support the invaluable work they carry out).
