Great Hounds in Need is a registered charity Chy 20300, CRA 20080518, we are based in the Republic of Ireland and run by a small team of volunteers founded for the purpose of rescuing and rehoming greyhounds and lurchers and finding homes where they are pets. We rely on public donations to operate from our own kennels and can have up to 28 dogs in our care all of whom are microchipped, neutered and vaccinated prior to rehoming. We take great care to ensure that the right dog is matched with their new families and forever home. We are committed to finding every dog in our care the best home they deserve and continue to offer support and rescue back up once they have been rehomed. Our dogs are available for adoption in Ireland and also in Europe where we partner with other rescues who provide ongoing support for the dogs and their adopters. Greyhounds and lurchers have been the underdogs and we aim to alter the angle and show people what amazing companions and pets they are.
