About us

Grateful Friends Animal Rescue is a non-profit foster-based that is 100% volunteer run. Founded in Manitoba, Canada in April 2020, Grateful Friends began with a mission to rescue animals from all different situations, provide them with needed veterinary care, love, find them their forever homes and ultimately spay& neuter as many animals as possible.

In 2021 GFAR accepted approximately 302 cats/kittens and 56 dogs/puppies into care while incurring approximately $86,122 in veterinary costs.
