Give Girls A Chance
About us
Give Girls A Chance (GGAC) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2016 by Ms. Uloma Ogba and Dr. Hauwa Balami, with a mission to empower girls and young women in Nigeria through education and skills training. Headquartered in Abuja and registered in both Nigeria and the US, GGAC operates across six partner schools in Abuja and Borno State. The organization provides scholarships, mentorship, and capacity-building programs to ensure girls have access to quality education and the skills necessary for future employment. GGAC has impacted over 250 girls with three-year scholarships covering tuition, fees, uniforms, and books while reaching 10,000+ girls through advocacy campaigns on menstrual hygiene and girl-child education. In 2024, GGAC expanded its work by launching the EnableHer project, with support from the U.S. Embassy of Abuja, to empower young women and girls with disabilities through vocational training, financial education, and mentorship
