Operated entirely by volunteers, often via funding from our own pockets, Furever Homes has rehomed many dogs, cats, rabbits, sheep, calves and horses as well as helped reunite lost pets with their owners. We rescue death row dogs from many council pounds as well as from bad situations all around New Zealand. We help older animals whose owners pass away and animals when their family situations change - leaving them homeless. As we do not charge a standard fee for adopting a dog we are reliant on donations of food, time, money and anything else a pet needs. We have foster carers who open their home to pets and spend many hours, weeks and even months preparing them for a forever home. Our mission is to re-home animals who need a second chance, into loving homes, where they can live the rest of their lives in a safe, caring environment.
