Once upon a time many Venezuelans got together on a Facebook group called Guayaneses por el Mundo to share stories and keep connections with hundreds of friends who were forced to find a home elsewhere in the world; it quickly became a place to ask and send help for people still living in Venezuela.

​In 2018, Marianela, inspired by all of the good that her friends were doing from all around the world, started Fundacion Venezuela Corp so she could collect medicines, medical supplies, clothes and food thus making sure it gets to the right hands in Venezuela, people who really need them.
