DASH Dogs And Second Homes is a foster-based nonprofit dog rescue serving Gary, Indiana, working directly with Gary Animal Control. We place dogs straight from animal control into foster homes, providing medical care, rehabilitation, and the stability they need to decompress and thrive.

We do not take in strays or pick up dogs off the street, our focus is singular and urgent: Giving Gary’s Pitbulls a Fast Track to Forever Homes. Through foster care, community outreach, and emotionally honest storytelling, we build a direct bridge from Gary Animal Control to safety for the dogs who have waited the longest.
