Free Dogs and Cats NZ is dedicated to rehoming of dogs and cats across New Zealand. Since 2017, we have connected animals in need with loving homes, all without charging adoption fees. Our mission is to provide a free and accessible service for individuals and organisations who need help rehoming pets, ensuring that financial barriers never prevent an animal from finding a safe and caring home.We understand the challenges faced by rescue organisations, particularly when they reach full capacity. By offering a no-cost alternative for rehoming, we help provide a responsible solution for pet owners or organisations that need help rehoming when rescues are full or they are just considering a private rehome.In addition to our rehoming efforts, we are wanting to launch desexing initiatives to address the issue of pet overpopulation in New Zealand. By reducing the number of unwanted litters, we aim to ease the strain on rescue organisations and local communities. To make this happen, we need donations to support this.
