SARSAV is the provincial organization responsible for professional volunteer Ground SAR in Saskatchewan and Tasks to Search and Rescue Missions Across Saskatchewan.  SARSAV is comprised of 18 member chapters and over 400 individual SARSAV members across Saskatchewan. SARSAV provides support, training, oversight, funding, representation and coordination for all member chapters.  SARSAV members are also Members  of the National Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada - SARVAC.   Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers was born out of tragedy, in 1994 a young Ashley Krestianson lost her way and life south of Tisdale.  SARSAV members train to CSA Standards in Ground SAR and Train to Searcher Team Leader and Search Manager. SARSAV's Professional SAR Volunteers contribute over 26000 Unpaid Volunteer hours on Missions, Training, Community Events, Prevention Outreach, Community Events and more in 2024.  Simply Put SARSAV Saves Lives, and Brings the lost and Missing Home.
