Because public education in Kenya is only fully funded by the government through eighth grade, only 53% of students continue their education into high school, and only 11% attend college. Consequently, the vast majority of Kenyan youth experience minimal economic prospects and over a third of the population lives in extreme poverty and on less than $1 per day. EFAC (Education For All Children) is an award-winning 501(c)3 nonprofit that, for the last 15 years, has been disrupting this cycle of poverty and transforming the life trajectory of vulnerable youth in Kenya towards wellness and prosperity.
