In 2017 a dream was formed, and a small group of enthusiasts began work to bring community theatre back to Goldthwaite. Since then, our nonprofit corporation has been very instrumental in the purchase of the historic, two-story rock building on the northeast corner of Fisher and Third, where the original "Opera House" began in the late 1800's. Even during the COVID pandemic, we produced several plays, sponsored numerous events and raised funds through local contributions and grants to begin the much needed restoration of the building. Our goal is to have a fully functional theater with all the old character of the original "Opera House" It will entail a lot of hard work, help from the community and outside, but a vision that will bring vitality and enjoyment to our community, county, and surrounding areas..
