Dementia Doulas Australia is a registered charity dedicated to ensuring that no family faces dementia alone. Every day, thousands of Australians are navigating the uncertainty, grief, practical challenges and isolation that often accompany a dementia diagnosis. While clinical care is important, families also need someone to walk alongside them, someone who can help them understand what lies ahead, make informed decisions, connect with support, and continue living meaningful lives.

That's where we come in. As the founders of the Dementia Doula model in Australia, we provide compassionate, practical and community-centred support that empowers families throughout the dementia journey. Through education, one-to-one guidance, community programs, peer connection and advocacy, we help families build confidence, reduce isolation and prepare for the future.

We also work to create dementia-inclusive communities by partnering with businesses, organisations and local communities to improve understanding and accessibility for people living with dementia and those who support them.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue developing innovative programs, and ensuring all families have access to a Dementia Doula from pre-diagnosis through to time of bereavement for families. We are strongly advocating for a future where every person affected by dementia feels seen, supported and valued.
