Established in late 2023 & based on the Mornington Peninsula VIC, SPDR is a registered Not-For-Profit dog rescue charity.  Our mission is to rescue and rehome small breed dogs in Melbourne, providing them with essential veterinary care, grooming, and securing loving forever homes. Our vision is to create a community where every dog receives the care and love they deserve, living out their years in comfort and happiness.  Run entirely by unpaid volunteers, SPDR has a small, but highly committed volunteer base who frequently move mountains to coordinate fundraising events, transport animals, provide care following veterinary and medical procedures, recruit foster carers & provide foster care for small dogs requiring rehoming due to either private surrender or via Pounds and Shelters.
