Creeks Landing Equine Rescue, a 501(C)3, located in Bismarck AR, is dedicated to saving the lives of slaughter bound/ neglected horses, mules, and donkeys. We focus on rehabilitation and training so that our rescues are better prepared for life time homes. A large majority of the horses received to our rescue are from the slaughter system and are in very poor physical condition. Our equines during their initial intake are seen by a veterinarian, have their teeth examined, their hooves tended to, and a dietary plan designed according to their needs. We often donate to other rescues as needs arise. We frequently collaborate with other rescues such as Stone Valley Ray of Hope, Scarlets Grace, Standardbred Retirement Foundation, and Alisha’s Promise just to name a few. The rescue is supported and maintained by two disabled military veterans who have spent their lives in the service of protecting others. At the moment the rescue is growing and a therapy program for veterans is being formed. Funding is needed to aid our program development and facility growth. Donations are needed for the construction of an additional barn, fencing, meeting area, and facilities that are handicap accessible.
