Sugarfoot Farm Rescue is a no kill, non breed specific rescue in Columbia, KY located on 120 acres.  We are unique in the care and housing of the dogs.  The dogs are not kenneled or locked up.  They have large fenced in areas to play in.  They have wading pools, slides, toys and are free all day long.  The dogs are like kids on a playground.  They break off into groups.  The younger dogs hang out playing ball and tug of war.  The older dogs relax in the sun or the shade and watch the pups play.  The dogs are never left alone.  At night some dogs go into the kennel.  Others sleep in the house.  This lifestyle enables us to know the personality of each dog.  We know which ones are dog aggressive, which ones are good with kids, the hunters, and the ones that prefer to sleep all day.  If dogs are aggressive they are handled every day, taken for walks, or let out in a fenced in area on their own.  All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped when adopted for the mere fee of $50.  Our adoption form states that if a dog doesn't work out, they are returned to us.  The most important thing to us is that our dogs go to forever homes where they will be loved and be part of a family.  We rely totally on donations.  Our rescue would not be possible without the generosity of our supporters.
