Christchurch Aunties is a not-for-profit charitable organisation supporting women (wāhine) and children (tamariki) impacted by family harm across Canterbury.

We work alongside trusted family harm agencies to provide the practical essentials wāhine and tamariki need as they rebuild their lives. Our Canterbury community donates furniture, beds, household items and other essentials, and our team makes sure those items get where they are needed — quickly, safely and sustainably.

Rebuilding after family violence often starts with the basics: a clean bed to sleep in, kitchen essentials, toiletries, towels and safe appliances. Having these things ready can make a huge difference when someone is starting again and creating a safe, functional home.

Christchurch Aunties is powered by a small team, a committed board of trustees and a wonderful network of volunteers who help collect, sort, pack and deliver donated items across Canterbury. We receive no government funding and rely on grants, trusts, businesses and generous people in our community to keep this mahi going.

Your support helps keep our delivery van on the road, our warehouse open and our team working alongside local agencies to make sure wāhine and tamariki have the practical support they need when starting over.
