Fibromyalgia ME/CFS Bridges & Pathways 2018 May Awareness Project is to raise funds to employ a specialist Practice Nurse Practitioner Trainer to provide early intervention best practice management for Australians living with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia. Our support lines and website receive calls from people who struggle to find even basic medical care to limit their condition, so much informtion is out of date and conflicting. This specialist nurse will provide care and support and work with our management team to support nurses across Australia to provide patient friendly ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia care plans as part of a 24 month pilot holistic care program to improve health outcomes of people with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia. Australians with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia have little access to medical care and are being denied Centrelink and disability services leading to unnecessary disability, financial, family and community hardship.. It is time for change! The nurse project is part Bridges and Pathways is work to establish a Clinic and Research Centre as one stop shop and specialist centre to coordinate research and services. The Centre aims to train and equip more health practitioners to reduce waiting lists. Our aim is to fast track the latest diagnostic and treatment research into practice and daily care allowing every Australian access to early intervention and best practice medical care through timely and appropriate services.
