CAYAC CHARITY
About us
CAYAC stands for community assistance for youths, adults and children, which means we help everyone. We directly help those suffering homelessness, domestic violence, illness and/or those who are destitute.
We do this by way of providing food hampers and/or food vouchers, fuel cards, free furniture, homewares, clothing and toiletries.
We always treat these recipients in a kind and dignified manner. We also assist people with finding housing.
We operate an op shop in Maroochydore, and to date, we have been self supporting the community through this endeavour. We are soon to open our cafe which will provide free lunch and breakfast to school children. One member of our admin is Indigenous and we take pride in helping and recognising these beautiful people.
We will also be delivering lunch daily (to designated areas) to those suffering homelessness.
Our next big plan is to purchase land to enable us to build small cabins to house those who would otherwise be homeless.
We desperately need financial assistance to complete our goals to help our community with the land project and to continue the vital and hands on work that we do.
