Bonded By Strength Equine Rescue was founded by its president, Alura Ruppert, back in 2021 after she saved her beloved “Bond” from a kill pen in Oklahoma (pictured below with Alura). After being given a second chance at life, Alura spent time rehabilitating Bond and was able to make him a show horse. Bond has a forever home with Alura, as he started her passion for this rescue. Following Bond, Alura, to date, has rescued over 20 equines destined for slaughter in just over a year.
