These are unprecedented times. As a nonprofit, specifically a nonprofit whose core mission is to defend potential through one-to-one interactions, the COVID-19 crisis has pushed our agency to make difficult decisions. But we are confident that we can get through this with a little help. Our mission is more critical than ever, to continue offering our life-changing program to children and teens in our community. Programs like ours help combat mental health issues such as loneliness, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem while building confident, better relationships and cultivating post-secondary aspirations. We are connect with our Littles on a regular basis and are providing support and resources on how they can stay connected and continue to build a trusting friendship during this time of social distancing. We are also rallying behind the parents in our program as they face their own challenges as a result of this crisis. Our staff are identifying needs and connecting the volunteers with resources to assist them in their time of need. We are using new ways to make connections. We are creating new opportunities for learning and events such as our virtual classes. None of this can be possible without your assistance. Due to the COVID-19 virus our agency is facing a $85K shortfall. This is social skills session such as financial literacy and resume building sessions. It also, includes those important connections from our office to discuss goals and family status and so much more. With your help, can continue these and other important activities to assist children in our neighborhood with maneuvering these trying times.
