Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 public nonprofit charity organization that provides quality sanctuary placement for senior horses and horses with special needs, while promoting community service in southern CA and equine welfare nationwide. We are an adoptions partner with the Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Bernadino, and Riverside County Animal Shelters. We participate actively in The Homes For Horses Coalition and have co-sponsored the lobby against equine slaughter and pro SAFE Act in Washington D.C. in Sept. 2024. We are 100% nonprofit run by volunteerism and donations alone. We currently house 13 beautiful "non-rideable loveable" "companion-champions" with special needs; one yearling and 12 over the age of 18. A majority of our horses are between 20 and 40 years old, and all require individualized diets, TLC, and care in the retirement that they deserve. We commit!
